I Heart Valentine’s Day

I love holidays.  Really, I love anything that gives me an excuse to decorate or throw a party even.  But  really, I love Valentine’s Day.  I try to do it all – send out cards, bake special treats, give Valentine gifts.  So with Valentine’s Day being less than two weeks away, I am pretty behind in planning for❤ day.  Here a bunch of great things I found online – available for purchase, with DIY instructions, or provided with recipes.

1.  What’s great about this print is that it’s not screaming Valentine’ Day.  If its framed and hung, it can be left up all year round.  Give it as a gift to someone or, if you like it too much to give away (like I do), keep it for yourself! 2.  DIY:  This fun image is seen framed as wall decor, but if you check out the blog I found it on, you can also use it as a card.  Check out http://www.oopseydaisyblog.com and download the image for free.  It’s even availble in several different colors. 3.  Who does not like ice cream?  I  know my boys sure do.  Here’s a super fun and easy Valentine’s treat that I’m sure anyone, especially those in my household, will drool over.  (Source: http://www.the36thavenue.com/2013/01/valentine-treat.html)

4.  There’s just something about letterpress cards that make me want to hold them and never let them go.  Here are some that the graphic designer in your life will appreciate.  (source: http://www.etsy.com/listing/91405582/the-designers-3-pack-of-letterpress)

5.  Another favorite of mine – chocolate dipped pretzels!  They are surprisingly inexpensive to make and pretty easy too.  (source: http://mrsfoxssweets.blogspot.com/2012/01/chocolate-dipped-valentines-pretzels.html)

6.  What’s Valentine’s day without heart-shaped cookies.  Make a batch of these for everyone and you are sure to get a lot of love. (source: http://www.foodonpaper.com/2012/02/valentines-day-heart-cookies.html)

7.  Saw this and thought it was just really lovely.  Again, it’s not something that’s just for Valentine’s day.  It’s really a work of art.  You could even try it as a DIY.  (source: http://sarahandbendrix.bigcartel.com/)

8.  I’m at Target at least twice a week.  Their seasonal decor is great, and I’m always in love with their designs.  Here are a few pieces from their Valentine collection.  I’ve already purchase the cookie jar, but I’m thinking about going back for more!  (source : http://www.target.com/p/so-sweet-cookie-jar/-/A-14280546?reco=Rec%7Cpdp%7C14280546%7CClickEV%7Citem_page.vertical_1&lnk=Rec%7Cpdp%7CClickEV%7Citem_page.vertical_1)

9.  Yes, another entry off of Etsy.  But I love the multiple uses of this product.  As a card, an album, a coupon book, a journal…the list goes on.  And the design is just too cute.  (source: http://www.etsy.com/listing/66648999/alphabet-of-our-love-valentine-wedding)
